Spotted Tail Cemetery lies half a mile west, one mile south and one mile west of Jamison, in the north-east corner of Keya Paha County. The roads to it are unpaved grade but in good travelling condition, and the cemetery itself is well kept.
It shares its name with the Brulé Lakota leader Spotted Tail; the county's transcriptions do not record how the name came to the cemetery.
Around 259 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.
For burial records or plot enquiries, contact the Keya Paha County Clerk in Springview. Ownership can also be confirmed through the Nebraska Statewide Cemetery Registry at the State Historical Society.
