Shell Creek Market is the grocery store at Newman Grove, a village on the Madison and Platte county line named for the creek that runs past it. Newman Grove has strong Danish and Swedish roots and holds an annual heritage celebration. A village grocery of this size carries produce, meat, dairy, frozen and pantry goods and saves the drive to Norfolk or Columbus for the weekly shop. Telephone 402-447-2233.
