Saint Matthews Episcopal Church Columbarium — Alliance

The columbarium at Saint Matthews Episcopal Church in Alliance.

This is a columbarium, not a cemetery — a wall or room of niches holding cremated remains, at a working church in Alliance rather than a burial ground out in the county. Visiting means visiting the church.

Around 13 interments have been recorded, which is a record of what has been documented rather than a count of everyone laid there.

For inquiries about niches or records, contact the church directly, or the Box Butte County Clerk in Alliance. Ownership of burial grounds in Nebraska can also be confirmed through the Nebraska Statewide Cemetery Registry at the State Historical Society.
