Rock County Handi Bus

The Rock County Handi Bus is run from the Rock County Senior Center in Bassett and provides transportation for older residents of Rock County. Nebraska's rural transit services work on a demand-response basis rather than fixed routes, so riders telephone ahead to book a trip instead of waiting at a stop. The senior center is open 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday, and the same number also handles congregate and home-delivered meals, case management, and information and assistance. Note that this is a separate service from the free medical-appointment transportation run by Rock County Hospital, which has its own number.
