Northwest Public Schools

Northwest Public Schools runs the public schools in Grand Island and the country around it, in Hall County. The district office is at 2710 N North Rd. Nebraska school districts are run by a board elected locally, and the district is the body that hires the teachers, runs the buses and sets the calendar for every school under it. It belongs to Educational Service Unit 10 at Kearney, which supplies special education staff, technology support, training and shared services that a single district could not carry alone.
