Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department

Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department serves Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties, from 215 N Pearl St in Wayne. Nebraska local health departments handle the public health work no single town could staff: immunization clinics, WIC, communicable disease investigation, restaurant and pool inspection, emergency preparedness, tobacco and substance prevention, and health education. There are twenty of them covering the whole state, and each is governed by a board drawn from the counties it serves.
