The National Willa Cather Center, operated by the Willa Cather Foundation, celebrates the life and legacy of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Willa Cather in her childhood hometown. The center features interactive galleries, a research archive, the restored 1885 Red Cloud Opera House, and guided tours of Cather-related historic sites throughout Red Cloud and the surrounding prairie.
The center is located at 425 North Webster Street, Red Cloud, NE 68970.
Hours: March-October, Monday-Saturday 9 AM-5 PM (closed Sundays). November-February, Tuesday-Friday 9 AM-5 PM, Saturday 10 AM-3 PM (closed Sundays and Mondays). Closed on major holidays.
