Description

Nash Chapel Crypt is a private burial chamber inside Saint Cecilia's Cathedral at 701 North 40th Street in Omaha. It was built as a family crypt for the Nash family, who were benefactors of the cathedral.

The entrance to the chamber is to the right of the doorway into the Our Lady of Nebraska Chapel. The cathedral itself is a Spanish Renaissance building, consecrated on 9 April 1959, with twin spires that can be seen for miles.

Around 20 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.

For burial records or plot enquiries, contact the cathedral office, or the Douglas County Clerk in Omaha. Ownership can also be confirmed through the Nebraska Statewide Cemetery Registry at the State Historical Society.
