Kewanee Cemetery lies north-east of Valentine on Highway 12 — thirteen and eight-tenths miles out, then half a mile south. It is also known as Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, and older records use that name. The land was deeded for use as a burial ground by Ervine and Frances Bristol.
There is a second cemetery near Kewanee, Saint Joseph, about two and a half miles further north. The two are separate grounds and should be searched separately.
Around 76 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.
