Jopp Cemetery lies in the southwest corner of Dakota County, near where Dakota, Dixon and Thurston counties meet. There is no village close to it. It is listed under Emerson, the nearest village, about five miles to the west.
The county's records carry it as the Wilke Cemetery and as the Old German Cemetery, and list it as abandoned. Expect an overgrown and unmaintained burial ground rather than a kept one.
