Invenergy keeps a Neligh office at 411 Main Street, and it is the local point of contact for the company's wind development in Antelope County rather than a public counter. Invenergy built the Prairie Breeze Wind Energy Center near Elgin and followed it with Prairie Breeze II, a 73 megawatt project approved by the Antelope County Supervisors and spread across the Logan, Cedar, Grant, Elgin, Oakdale and Burnett townships, with the power contracted to Lincoln Electric System. The company has put the county's wind resource at over three million dollars a year in tax revenue, landowner payments and wages. Landowners with ground in or near the project areas, current or prospective, are who this office exists to talk to.
