Hooks Lake Bar and Grill

A lake bar and grill on Reeds Drive at Brule, a short run from the south shore of Lake McConaughy. It opens Thursday through Saturday from late afternoon until closing, which fits the boating and fishing crowd rather than the lunch trade. There is outdoor seating with a view of the water in the warm months, daily specials off the grill, and live music through the season. In summer it fills early on weekends, so arrive before the boats come off the lake.
