Furnas County Emergency Management

Furnas County is served by the emergency management office at 912 R St in Beaver City (Region 17), which also covers Frontier and Gosper counties. Mail can be sent to Box 408, Beaver City NE 68926. County emergency management plans for and coordinates the response to floods, tornadoes, blizzards, wildfires, hazardous material spills and other emergencies. The office runs the local emergency operations center, issues public warnings, works with fire departments, law enforcement and rescue squads, keeps the county emergency operations plan current, and handles damage assessment and disaster assistance after an event.
