Fremont Transit Line

Fremont's city transit is demand-response and door-to-door rather than a route with stops, covering the city limits and a two-mile band beyond them. It is open to the general public as well as to older adults and people with disabilities, and every van in the fleet is wheelchair accessible. Trips are booked by telephone on 402-459-2845. A journey costs two dollars one way when booked at least forty-eight hours ahead and five dollars if arranged the same day, with an exact-change policy on board. The city is careful to say that a ride cannot be guaranteed, since maintenance, weather or an emergency can disrupt the schedule, so a fallback plan is worth having for anything time-critical.
