Erina Cemetery is a small burial ground in the north-east of Garfield County, well away from the Burwell cemeteries. The name is Irish, and the Loup valley took a number of Irish homesteading families in the 1880s.
Find a Grave records it at the south-east corner of the west quarter of the south-west quarter of Section 36, Township 24 North, Range 14 West of the 6th Principal Meridian — reached about a mile east and three quarters of a mile south of the Cassidy Ranch, then a quarter mile east into a pasture. It is pasture ground, so ask before visiting.
Find a Grave holds 4 memorials for it, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there. For burial records or plot enquiries, contact the City of Burwell, or the Garfield County Clerk in Burwell. Ownership can also be confirmed through the Nebraska Statewide Cemetery Registry at the State Historical Society.
