Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department

Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department is the public health department covering Burt, Cuming, Madison and Stanton counties, from PO Box 779 in Wisner. Nebraska local health departments handle the public health work no single town could staff: immunization clinics, WIC, communicable disease investigation, restaurant and pool inspection, emergency preparedness, tobacco and substance prevention, and health education. There are twenty of them covering the whole state, and each is governed by a board drawn from the counties it serves.
