Eclipse Cemetery — Mullen

Eclipse Cemetery lies in the south-west corner of Hooker County, out in the Sandhills a long way from Mullen and close to the McPherson County line.

Its records are filed with McPherson County rather than Hooker, which is where a search should look for them — the county line runs close enough here that the paperwork and the ground disagree.

Around 176 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.

For burial records or plot inquiries, contact the Village of Mullen, or the Hooker County Clerk in Mullen. Ownership can also be confirmed through the Nebraska Statewide Cemetery Registry at the State Historical Society.
