Dawson County Emergency Management

Dawson County Emergency Management is the emergency management agency for Dawson County, at 700 N Washington St in Lexington. County emergency management plans for and coordinates the response to floods, tornadoes, blizzards, wildfires, hazardous material spills and other emergencies. The office runs the local emergency operations center, issues public warnings, works with fire departments, law enforcement and rescue squads, keeps the county emergency operations plan current, and handles damage assessment and disaster assistance after an event.
