Curtis Cemetery lies in the western Sandhills, recorded locally as one and seven-tenths miles south-west of the Robert Curtis Ranch, in Section 7 of Range 36. There is no village close by; the coordinates are the practical guide. It is listed under Kennedy, the nearest village in Cherry County, about forty-one miles to the east. Hyannis is closer — about twenty-six miles to the south-west — but lies in Grant County.
Around 11 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.
For burial records or plot inquiries, contact the Cherry County Clerk in Valentine. Ownership can also be confirmed through the Nebraska Statewide Cemetery Registry at the State Historical Society.
