Chimney Rock Pioneer Days

Chimney Rock Pioneer Days is held at Bayard over a Friday evening and Saturday in early September, named for the Chimney Rock National Historic Site just outside town, the most recorded landmark in the overland emigrant diaries. The weekend carries a pancake breakfast, a Quilt of Valor presentation, a street dance, a parade, live music, craft and food vendors, a trap shoot and a movie in the park. Admission is free and it is promoted by the City of Bayard on 308-586-1121.
