Cheyenne County Emergency Management

Cheyenne County is served by the emergency management office at 1124 Grant St in Sidney (Region 21), which also covers Deuel, Garden, Kimball and Morrill counties. Mail can be sent to Box 217, Sidney NE 69162. County emergency management plans for and coordinates the response to floods, tornadoes, blizzards, wildfires, hazardous material spills and other emergencies. The office runs the local emergency operations center, issues public warnings, works with fire departments, law enforcement and rescue squads, keeps the county emergency operations plan current, and handles damage assessment and disaster assistance after an event.
