Broken Bow City Hall is the municipal office for Broken Bow, Nebraska, at 314 South 10th Avenue. Broken Bow is the county seat of Custer County, population 3,506, roughly 10 miles from the geographic center of Nebraska. Platted 1882, incorporated as a village 1884 and as a city of the second class 1888. The city operates its own municipal electric and water and sewer utilities, with a separate utilities office and after-hours emergency line. Services include the Police Department, Emergency Services, Library, parks, streets, utility billing, a transfer station and tree dump, a swimming pool and Handi-Bus transportation. Adams Land and Cattle's south lot here is Nebraska's largest cattle feedlot, with capacity for about 85,000 head. The Broken Bow Commercial Square Historic District is on the National Register. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
