Branched Oak State Recreation Area

Branched Oak State Recreation Area is near Malcolm, in Lancaster County, Nebraska, northwest of Lincoln. Built as part of the Salt Valley Lakes flood-control project, its 5,595-acre area surrounds an 1,800-acre lake and offers camping, two swimming beaches, a marina, fishing, hunting, and equestrian and hiking trails.
