Baker Messiah Lutheran Cemetery lies at Baker, near the South Dakota line: from the junction of US 18 and US 281, a mile and a half south, then nine tenths of a mile west and two tenths north, in Boyd County, Nebraska. It is also recorded as Baker Cemetery, Messiah Lutheran Cemetery. It sits in timber on the right of the road. Baker lay in Gregory County, South Dakota until the 1895 survey fixed the state line and put it in Nebraska. A Swedish Lutheran body founded the cemetery; services there ended in 1965. Find a Grave holds 50 memorials for it, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.
