Ashby Cemetery serves Ashby, on Highway 2 in the west of Grant County.
Ashby is the reference point for a good deal of country well beyond it. A cemetery recorded as "north of Ashby" — variously Perrett-Stensbie, Stansbie-Perrett or Old Mason, on what was the Leo Egan Ranch — lies some fourteen miles out that way, near the Cherry County line, and is listed under Cherry County in this directory.
Around 127 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.
For burial records or plot inquiries, contact the Village of Ashby, or the Grant County Clerk in Hyannis. Ownership can also be confirmed through the Nebraska Statewide Cemetery Registry at the State Historical Society.
