The Stockholm Swedish Lutheran Church and Cemetery lie 2½ miles west and ½ mile south of Shickley. Swedes from Moline, Illinois, organized the congregation in 1875 and laid out the cemetery in 1878; the first church (1881) is attached at the rear of the Gothic Revival frame church built in 1900–01. A historical marker on NE 74 about 2 miles west of Shickley points the way. Listed on the National Register on June 30, 1995.
