Prairie Days is held in Tilden on the last weekend of July. It grew out of the Smithsonian exhibit “Listening to the Prairie,” which Tilden hosted in 2000. Recent years have brought a parade, a car show, a quilt show, “Treasures Along the Trail” sales on the Cowboy Trail, mud volleyball and fireworks, with events at Horseshoe Bend Park and the Richie Ashburn ball field.
