Immigrant families from Austria, Germany and Luxembourg built Immaculate Conception Church at Montrose in 1887. It has never been moved; a local family maintains it. The church closed as a parish in 1973 but is still used for weddings and an annual honorary Mass in September. The Montrose Cemetery is beside it, and the Warbonnet battlefield monuments are just north.
