The Venango Public School, 201 E. Washington St., Venango, is a two-story Colonial Revival brick school built in 1921 to plans by Wilson & Wilson of Denver and Sterling, after voters approved an $80,000 bond, 95 to 7. A 1955 addition by Frank McNett & Co. of Grand Island added a gym, cafeteria and stage. High school students went to Grant after 1992, and the school closed after the 2000–01 year. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. It is privately owned; view from the street.
