The J. L. Miner House, 241 N. Seward St. in Red Cloud, was built in 1878 and was the home of Cather's friends Carrie, Mary and Irene Miner; My Ántonia is dedicated to Carrie and Irene, and the Miners are the novel's Harling family. Annie Sadilek, the real Ántonia, worked for them. It was restored in 1990 and given to the Willa Cather Foundation, and it is one of the most popular stops on the Foundation's guided tours.
