City Park, three blocks west of the courthouse square in Fairbury, has the Frontier Fun Park, a wooden playground built by volunteers in 1995, the Isaac outdoor game center, four lighted softball fields, the American Legion baseball field, horseshoe pits, a 1930s WPA Girl Scout cabin and the community building at 601 City Park Rd. The Fairbury Aquatic Center is nearby, and the Little Blue River Trail runs from the park along the river. The July 4th flea market and fireworks are held here.
