History Nebraska marker #430 stands at NE 79 and County Road K, north of North Bend, at the site of Webster. Webster grew from 1871 around a post office, blacksmith shop, store, telephone company and Webster Hall, which held a high school from 1915 to 1918. Its businesses closed in the 1950s and School District 27 closed in 1999. The marker was placed by Webster community citizens and the Nebraska State Historical Society.
