About Nashville
Nashville is an unincorporated community on US 75 at the southern edge of Washington County, about 4 miles south of Fort Calhoun and just north of Omaha, with homes and a few businesses along the highway. Fort Atkinson and Boyer Chute National Wildlife Refuge are a few miles north and east.
History
A railroad siding called Coffman, with a post office from 1891 to 1901, may have stood at or near this spot on the Omaha–Blair line. The Nashville post office ran from October 14, 1922, to June 15, 1929, and was probably named for Nashville, Tennessee.
An arson fire destroyed the PK Manufacturing plant here in November 2008, and a tornado on April 17, 2025, destroyed two houses.
