Polar Bear Tank Race is held in Mullen, Nebraska, on the first or second weekend of March.

Teams float cattle tanks down the Middle Loup River in winter. Friday has registration, a soup cook-off and a welcome reception; Saturday has breakfast, the river race, lunch and an awards banquet at the Mullen Event Center.

Organizer: Sandhills Journey National Scenic Byway (as a fundraiser).
