Description
Prairie Gem Cemetery is a small rural cemetery south of Interstate 80 near Aurora. From the Aurora exit on Highway 14, go about 1.5 miles south and then 2 miles west on West 8th Road; it is on the southwest corner.
The Prairie Gem EUB Church, built on the site in 1892, founded the cemetery; the church burned on December 24, 1961, and a stone marker commemorates it. Fewer than 20 headstones remained in 1998.
