Bohemian Cemetery stands at 5201 Center Street in Omaha. It was begun in 1883, when fifteen founders bought ten acres at 54th and Center for eight hundred dollars.
A brick building was put up in 1924. The ground was replatted in 1945 into twenty-three sections, and a marble columbarium and a scattering garden were added in 2012.
Around 7,689 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.
For burial records or plot enquiries, contact the cemetery office, or the Douglas County Clerk in Omaha. Ownership can also be confirmed through the Nebraska Statewide Cemetery Registry at the State Historical Society.
