Carter Cemetery

Carter Cemetery is in the north-west corner of Cuming County, dating from 1883, with only four stones standing. The nearest town is Pilger, about three miles west, but Pilger is in Stanton County. It is listed under Wisner, the nearest town within Cuming County. The ground was once a large fenced area with seven big trees, but cattle have got into it and it has had no care for many years. It lies about a mile north of the Highway 275 and County Road 2 junction, on private property reached across a field — ask permission locally before visiting.
