German Settlement Cemetery lies south-west of Crookston, in Section 28 of Township 33, Range 30. It is known locally as the Lutheran Cemetery, and older records may use that name.
It should not be confused with the Original German Settlement-Dittmer Cemetery, the earlier burial ground of the same community, which lies in Section 10 of the same township and range. The families are largely the same in both — Ahrens, Dittmer, Detgen and Dey among them.
Around 75 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.
