Mari Sandoz Burial Site — Gordon

Author Mari Sandoz (1896–1966) is buried on a hillside south of Gordon overlooking her family's Sandhills ranch. History Nebraska marker No. 85 stands at a rest area on the east side of Highway 27, the Mari Sandoz Sandhills Trail, 24 miles north of Highway 2.

The grave is reached by about 3 miles of sand road, Mari Sandoz Memorial Drive; it is in a fenced plot with a white gate and a visitor notebook.
