Beguin Cemetery lies south of Rushville, in Section 9 of Township 29, Range 44, out in the ranch country between the town and the Sandhills.
The Sandoz name appears among its burials — Zelina Eliza Sandoz, who died in 1893, Emil Sandoz, and Helen Forestier Sandoz. This is the family of Jules Ami Sandoz, the Swiss homesteader of the upper Niobrara, and of his daughter Mari Sandoz, who wrote him into Old Jules and is herself buried south of Gordon.
