Evergreen Cemetery — Mills

Evergreen Cemetery lies in the east of the county near Mills. It began in the early 1880s, when a family named Babbitt, homesteading a few miles north-west of Carns, lost an infant son. There was no cemetery anywhere near, so the child was buried on the family's own land. Other deaths followed in the neighbourhood, and a small plot of ground grew into a cemetery.

Around 17 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.
