Description

Hale Cemetery lies south of Hubbard in the southwest of Dakota County, on Fiddler's Creek — the county's records also call it Grove Cemetery and Fiddler Creek Cemetery, and place it in the southeast corner of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 14, Township 27, Range 7.

It was run by an association: the officers elected on 10 May 1893 were H. F. Shull as treasurer, with C. M. Antrim, Robert Gurnsey, George Sanford, John Welker and Fred Wilkins as trustees.

Around 80 memorials have been recorded, which is a record of what has been photographed and indexed rather than a count of everyone buried there.

For burial records or plot enquiries, contact the Dakota County Clerk in Dakota City. Ownership can also be confirmed through the Nebraska Statewide Cemetery Registry at the State Historical Society.
