ENREEC is the University of Nebraska's eastern research farm, at 1071 County Road G near Ithaca and Mead, in Saunders County. It runs about 9,500 acres of crop land, pasture and livestock and carries the long-term field research for roughly 100 faculty and nearly 300 students. On site are the Klosterman Feedlot Innovation Center, the NFarms technology hub and a Spidercam plant-phenotyping rig. It is open to visitors for field days, workshops, clinics and tours — more than 5,300 people came through in 2025, from 24 countries. ENREEC also administers the Haskell Agricultural Laboratory at Concord, the South Central Agricultural Laboratory at Clay Center and the Barta Brothers Ranch near Rose.
