Big Red Farms

Big Red Farms is a laying farm at 58535 Highway 35 near Wakefield, in Dixon County. It is one of the egg production sites run under the M.G. Waldbaum and Michael Foods names and holds a USDA voluntary egg products inspection grant. Michael Foods, part of Post Holdings, is the largest processor of value-added eggs in the United States and employs around 700 people in and around Wakefield.
