Knox County Emergency Management

Knox County Emergency Management is the emergency management agency for Knox County, at 206 Main St in Center. Mail can be sent to PO Box 165, Center NE 68724. County emergency management plans for and coordinates the response to floods, tornadoes, blizzards, wildfires, hazardous material spills and other emergencies. The office runs the local emergency operations center, issues public warnings, works with fire departments, law enforcement and rescue squads, keeps the county emergency operations plan current, and handles damage assessment and disaster assistance after an event.
