Boone County Emergency Management

Boone County is served by the emergency management office at 309 Esther St in Fullerton (Region 44), which also covers Merrick and Nance counties. Mail can be sent to PO Box 666, Fullerton NE 68638. County emergency management plans for and coordinates the response to floods, tornadoes, blizzards, wildfires, hazardous material spills and other emergencies. The office runs the local emergency operations center, issues public warnings, works with fire departments, law enforcement and rescue squads, keeps the county emergency operations plan current, and handles damage assessment and disaster assistance after an event.
