Douglas County West Community Schools

Douglas County West Community Schools serves the western end of Douglas County, including Valley and Waterloo. The district office is at PO Box 378. Nebraska school districts are run by a board elected locally, and the district is the body that hires the teachers, runs the buses and sets the calendar for every school under it. It belongs to Educational Service Unit 3 at La Vista, which supplies special education staff, technology support, training and shared services that a single district could not carry alone.
