Northwest Rural Public Power District is one of Nebraska’s rural public power districts, run from South Highway 87 in Hay Springs in Sheridan County. It supplies farms, acreages and small communities outside the town-owned systems. Nebraska is the only state where every electricity customer is served by a publicly owned utility, so there are no investor-owned power companies here.
