Columbus Days

Columbus Days is held at Frankfort Square in Columbus over four days in early to mid-August and bills itself as the area’s biggest block party. It runs two parades in one weekend, a Friday night parade and a Sunday daytime parade, which is unusual for a town celebration of this size. Around them come a quilt show, duck races, street dances, an outdoor movie, a baby show, a chalk art contest, an ice cream eating contest, foam dance parties and wiener dog races, with a community band performance and youth theatre opening on the Thursday.
