Lincoln City Hall is the municipal office for Lincoln, Nebraska, at 555 South 10th Street. Lincoln is Nebraska's state capital and county seat of Lancaster County, population 291,082, the state's second-largest city, covering roughly 88 square miles. The City-County Building at 555 South 10th Street houses both City of Lincoln and Lancaster County offices; this is the city government address, distinct from the State Capitol at 1445 K Street. The City Clerk's office is in Suite 103 and provides administrative, research and legislative support to the Mayor and City Council. Departments include Aging Partners, City Attorney, City Council, Finance, Health, Human Resources, Information Services, Lincoln City Libraries, Lincoln Fire and Rescue, the Mayor's Office, Parks and Recreation, Planning and Development Services, Police, Transportation and Utilities, and Urban Development. Building and construction permits are handled by Building and Safety at the Municipal Service Center, not at the City-County Building. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
